This is a support programme launched by Nepal GoodWeave Foundation to support the weavers and their families who have lost their residences in destructive earthquake 2015. The main objective of this programme is to develop the skill and concept of Social Entrepreneurship with to construct earthquake resistant houses and develop the economic stability to weavers families in 5 VDCs (Lisankhu of Lisankhu Pakhar Rural Municipality,Thulo Dhading of Lisankhu Pakhar Rural Municipality ,Phulpingkot of Balefi of Rural Municipality,Hagam of Jugal Rural Municipality and Dubachaur of Melamchi Municipality) of Sindhupalchok district. The programme aims to benefit 90 families. Earth quake affected weavers and their family members are equipped with the training to make Compressed Stabilized Earth Bricks and build houses by using CSEB bricks .It is more effective than other technologies as they use the soil in more quantity which is easily available in their villages. The house built by this technology is more earthquake proof. Moreover, the weaver's family after training have good earning to uplift their daily standard. NGF aims to train not only the weavers' family but also whole community people in targeted 5 VDCs. The public people are keen interested with this technology and are planning to use this technology to build their houses which were damaged in earthquake.The 10 days training to make Compressed Stabilized Earth Bricks and 10 days of mason training with sample houses in those villages have given practical learning which have developed their confidence level in this technology. NGF aims to give training to 300 people in the VDCs. This project aims to handover 1 CSEB production machine in each VDC so that they can use it for long term business.More than 30- people in each VDC are getting employment.All weavers' family and community people are actively participated in this training.
